Terms & Conditions of Carpet Factory Outlets
The following Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases of items from this website. Please read this document carefully before placing your order. We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time. Any such changes shall not affect any contract subsisting between us at the time of such change. Please check them before you make any new purchase. We advise you, our valued customer, to print and keep a copy of these terms and conditions safe for your reference.
Sale of goods
By placing an order with Carpet Factory Outlets (as of now referred to as us/we/our) you (the customer) are accepting these terms and conditions, as well as our terms of website use, to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions. These conditions do not affect your statutory rights. We will acknowledge your order by E-mail as soon as possible. Any e-mail or other acknowledgment from us does not constitute our legal acceptance of your order. Your order confirmation is proof of purchase.
Please ensure you keep this in a safe place as this will also be your guarantee on the following terms:
A-GRADE CARPET ORDERS (ONLY)
All A-Grade orders are covered fully with a manufacturers guarantee. If for any reason you are unhappy with the carpet/s you have received, please contact us immediately and we will follow all correct procedures to satisfy the issue.
CLEARANCE STOCK (ONLY)
All clearance stock products are sold without a manufacturer’s guarantee and are not covered in any way. If you buy a clearance item please make sure you are aware of all reasons as to why it is a clearance item (as detailed in “Product description”). If once the carpet has been purchased and delivered and you are not satisfied with the product we will accept a return at a charge of £45.00 to restock this item. Please be aware that if the product has been torn/ cut or fitted we will not accept any returns.
All deliveries are completed using our in house transport and delivery team however on certain occasions a trusted third party courier may be used.
Once we have received your order we will then contact you in the coming days regarding a delivery date and time. Please note that we may not contact you straight away however we will contact you within the 21 working day period to book in a delivery slot.
ALL CARPET ORDERS ARE DELIVERED WITHIN A 10 – 21 Working day period from the point an order is received. Please note that delivery times can be sooner than the 10 – 21 working day timescale depending on location and availability. This delivery timescale Excludes Scotland, The Scottish Isles, The Channel Islands and Northern Ireland. For deliveries in these areas please contact us for a quote.
All timescales given on our website are to be used as a guideline only. We shall make every effort possible to meet these timescales; however, delays can occur due to circumstances which are not under our control. We therefore cannot be under any liability for any delays or failure to deliver within the estimated timescale given. Additionally, all timescales quoted do not include any public holidays or Weekends.
Nationwide delivery is £45.00. This is a one off charge and will not be increased or decreased regardless of quantities
For any deliveries to Scotland, the Scottish Isles, the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland you will be required to call us for a quotation.
All deliveries must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over. It is the customer’s responsibility to check all goods prior to signing for them. Carpet Factory Outlets cannot be held liable for any damage which is noticed after delivery has occurred.
If any carpet product is larger than 20 square metres (e.g.4mx5m), you will Supply the extra person at the delivery point to assist with handling the product.
Delivery is to the ground floor only (door-to-door service). Drivers are not insured to Go up steps or staircases.
If a second delivery is required due to any problems accessing the property or for any reasons not mentioned prior to delivery on the “Delivery assistance” form or if you (the customer) have failed to accept delivery (ONCE ARRANGED WITH THE COURIER) then we, Carpet factory outlets reserve the right to charge a £45.00 re-delivery fee.
**Please note** As of 1st June 2016 on completion of your order we will e-mail you a form titled “Delivery assistance” requesting necessary information to ensure a smooth and successful delivery of your order. We will require this completed form to be returned to us within 48 hours(Should we not receive a completed form within 48 hours we will assume there are no potential issues that could affect the delivery and process the order as normal) In the event that an issue arises at the time of delivery that has not been identified on the “Delivery assistance” form then you may be liable to incur extra charges. Please see “attempted deliveries” above.
Returns: Carpet Factory Outlets will issue a full refund if you change your mind or decide the flooring is not what you were looking for, only within 14 days of receiving your order. The 14 day cooling off period is the standard set by the European Union with which we are morally and legally obliged to adhere to. Specific items are excluded from our returns policy; these include special size items and custom made items. We do not accept the return of part orders. If a carpet is ordered in error by a customer, either due to quality, colour or sizes, Carpet Factory Outlets cannot be held liable for this. It it the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all of their quoted requirements are correct.
Carpet Factory Outlets will not exchange goods that have been ordered by the customer for an alternative product. Hardwood flooring that is sold is non-returnable. Products such as Karndean flooring must be fitted by registered specialised fitters: Carpet Factory Outlets cannot be held liable if the product that is ordered cannot be fitted within certain time or fitted correctly – It is the customer who is responsible for arranging fitting with a suitable fitter; This is something that should be arranged/discussed prior to placing an order. For other products that are not of special size or custom made, it is important that you order have calculated everything correctly – part orders cannot be returned should too much be ordered (eg – too much underlay etc).
To claim your refund all returned goods must be in their original sealed packaging and returned in the condition that they were delivered to you. No refund can be given for any damaged items. For this reason we recommend you take out appropriate insurance on the goods that you are returning to us. Please note you are responsible for all costs relating to the return of goods unless the return relates to a manufacturing issue.
